Tony Carr joined Pencom Systems Incorporated in 1985. He directs all recruiting operations at the company's headquarters office in New York, NY. This includes the management of a large team of recruiters that staffs many of the financial services and Internet companies that operate in the business nexus that is New York.

Pioneering the development of a group that focused on recruiting technologists with specialized networking skills preceded Tony's role as director. This was a group of professionals with which Pencom had no previous experience, but which has since provided a substantial component of the firm's business.

Previous to his networking experience, Tony was solely responsible for Pencom's recruiter training program. This program grew to become one of the most comprehensive and best in the IT recruiting field. Tony was the architect of the program that teaches the Pencom recruiters the technology, marketplace and overall sales skills needed to be successful. During this time he also supervised the SWAT Virtual Recruiting team, which provided targeted, on-demand search services for any technology, anywhere.

Tony spent his first few years at Pencom building up the New York City and later the San Jose, CA marketplace with the recruitment and placement of a wide range of software developers. He was an influential member of the contract programming recruiting team from its inception.

Tony holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with a minor in Psychology from Ithaca College.
